1. About the service

Lingocito is a daily email newsletter that takes news stories from outlets you choose and rewrites them as short, original summaries in Spanish at your CEFR level, with links back to the original articles. By signing up or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. AI-generated summaries

The summaries are generated by artificial intelligence for language learning. They are transformative summaries, not faithful translations, and may contain errors or omissions despite our automated faithfulness checks. They are not a substitute for the original reporting. Always treat the original article — reachable from the “Leer el original” link in every story — as the authoritative source. We send source article text and a level target to our third-party AI provider, DeepSeek; see the Privacy Policy for details.

3. Third-party content & attribution

Source articles and trademarks belong to their respective publishers. Lingocito summarizes publicly available reporting, attributes each summary to its outlet, and links to the original. We respect robots.txt and machine-readable opt-out signals when ingesting sources.

Publishers and rights holders: to request removal of content or to opt your outlet out of ingestion, email takedown@lingocito.com. We honor takedown and opt-out requests and maintain a source blocklist.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no scraping or bulk redistribution of summaries, no attempts to circumvent the per-day regeneration limits or to disrupt the service, and no unlawful use. Your account is for your personal, non-commercial use.

5. Accounts & cancellation

Sign-in is passwordless via a magic link sent to your email. You can pause delivery, edit your preferences, or unsubscribe at any time from your settings or the one-click unsubscribe link in every edition. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lingocito is not liable for any decision you make based on a summary, or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Because summaries can be inaccurate, do not rely on them for any decision of consequence.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, announced by email.
